Retention Policy and Large Auction Rules

For IPL 2025, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has implemented a new retention policy that allows each team to retain up to six players from the existing squad. Teams have the option to retain players through outright retention or using the right-to-match (RTM) option during the massive auction scheduled for mid-December.
